Western New York Quality Measurement Collaborative (WNYQMC)
WNYQMC was formed by the three full-service health plans – BlueCross/BlueShield of Western New York, Independent Health and Univera Healthcare – as the governance organization for a New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) grant to implement a pay-for-performance program targeting improved provider performance in acute heart attack treatment, diabetes management, antibiotic use, and infection control. The project also examined physician performance on preventive health measures, including treatment for asthmatics, the use of anti-depressants, and post-partum visits.| Award Description |
