Welcome to another edition of our monthly series where we chat with a member of our staff to get to know them a little better. Today we're chatting with Kristina, our Project Assistant. Let's dive in!
What is your role at P² Collaborative?
I am the Project Assistant. The name kind of says it all- I provide assistance for all projects within the organization. Whether it's helping out with meeting coordination or planning our big events like Quarterly Meetings and our Annual Conference, I'm pretty much a jack of all trades.
How long have you worked here?
Just over a year! I started in May of 2013
What is your favorite part about working at P²?
I've always had a passion for working with nonprofits, and this is my first full-time opportunity to work for one. I love that I work for an organization that allows us to practice what we preach- we go for daily walks (don't break the chain!) and we collaborate and learn from each other.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I enjoy going beer and wine tasting with my family and friends. I combined that passion with my artistic side to start making decorative glasses recently. It started off as a hobby but I'm actually selling them now. I am currently working on setting up a website and an Etsy page- while fulfilling an order for 20 glasses! I also do a lot of fundraising outside of work. I helped plan a benefit for my uncle back in April and I am also working on the Children's Organ Transplant Association (COTA) for Team Frank G campaign, which is providing for assistance for my friend with cystic fibrosis.
And now everyone's favorite part of Meet the Staff- tell us about your pets!
I have a cat named Evie- although she's kind of part dog. She plays fetch! She is about eight years old now and very playful.
