Through our NYS DOH Local IMPACT grant, we are offering free support for employers seeking to create a healthier workplace.
Creating a work environment that produces healthy employees and encourages healthy choices is an important way to reduce the incidence of disease and ultimately promote a healthier population. Since many adults spend a significant portion of their day at work, a healthy work environment can have a great impact on population health. Current evidence shows that lasting change is best achieved when education is paired with creating an environment that supports healthy options; this approach helps to cultivate social norms at work that foster healthier choices and behaviors. We’re seeking to partner with organizations that value wellness and healthy choices, and empower them to create a built environment that promotes these values for their employees.
